The lab addresses some of the most urgent and intractable problems in the biomedical sciences in cancer and AIDS, drug development and first-in-human clinical trials, applications of nanotechnology in medicine, and rapid response to emerging threats of infectious diseases. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The Facilities Maintenance and Engineering (FME) Directorate is responsible for laboratory space, administrative space, infrastructure, campus landscape, planning, design, and construction management at Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research. KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES Manage credit card purchases and blanket orders in compliance with procurement policies, including placing orders, reconciling transactions, submitting monthly statements Preparing and tracking purchase requisitions Record and maintain department labor hours, material cost transfers from administrative to project work orders, assign work orders in Maximo when requested Serve as the designated property point of contact, ensuring accountability and compliance Coordinate vacation schedules and maintain shared calendar Prepare, format, and distribute various reports Coordinate the ordering, distribution, and tracking of departmental uniforms Record and distribute minutes for staff and project specific meetings Coordinate travel and training logistics Receive and refer calls and electronic communications appropriately Coordinate and track departmental licenses, inspections, insurance, and certifications Performs other related duties as assigned by a responsible authority BASIC QUALIFICATIONS To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: Possession of a high school diploma. Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency In addition to the education requirement, a minimum of five (5) years of related experience is required Experience with purchasing Customer service skills and telephone etiquette Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to independently coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks in the required/expected timeframe, and in accordance with the established policy and/or procedure.
