We believe that our greatest strength draws on the different backgrounds, cultures, perspectives and experiences of our employees.Job Summary:Westat has an immediate opening for a Lead Research Associate who will work closely with project managers and a multidisciplinary research team working on private school data collection recruitment for the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), an innovative digital educational assessment also known as "The Nation's Report Card."This position is remote eligible.Job Responsibilities:--- Lead a private school task force that specializes in recruiting private schools.--- Strategize on ways to effectively engage private schools, including an understanding of the mission of each selected private school.--- Develop communication strategies to effectively communicate how the NAEP assessment is relevant to the private school's mission and goals.--- Develop Memorandums of Understanding with private school associations.--- Strategize ways to convert schools to participate in NAEP.--- Participate in the distance training development program's design, development, and review.--- Develop and write training procedures manuals and support material to gain cooperation among recruitment teams.--- Other relevant job duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications:--- A bachelor's degree in education or related social science field with 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree in education or related social science field with 2-4 years of relevant experience.--- U.S. Citizenship is required by contract.Preferred Qualifications:--- Experience with private school organizations.Other Required Qualifications:--- Demonstrated communication skills.--- Collaboration with teams, managers and/or clients.--- Organization skills, including time management ability.--- Detail oriented.Westat offers a well-rounded and comprehensive benefits program focused on wellness and work/life balance.
