High Steel Service Center has a 200,000-square-foot facility with 150,000 tons of capacity. A full-line metal processor and distributor, High Steel Service Center offers carbon steel, aluminum flat rolled, and stainless steel products.If you are interested in a 3rd-shift Order Puller opportunity, we'd like to speak with you!3rd shift, which runs Monday - Friday from 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM.Overtime hours are required, depending on work and staffing demands. This may include working additional hours before or after your scheduled shift, and occasional Saturdays.Coworkers will earn at least $18.50/hr, after successful completion of their 90-day probationary period, and receive a $2/hr shift differential.Order Pullers work in a safe and efficient manner to pull material from stock using a forklift, crane, or side-loader. They are then required to package the pulled material for shipment. The ideal candidate must be able to work from order sheets to determine material and packaging requirements.Areas of responsibility for our order pullers include:Reading and understanding work orders and being able to carry out instructions listed on work ordersOperating material moving equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and side-loadersOperating various hand and power tools to safely package material for shippingWorking with a computer for restocking and shipping purposesKeeping accurate inventory records within our ERP systemWork qualifications and education requirements:High School Diploma or GEDPrevious manufacturing or warehousing experience requiredExperience operating a crane, forklift or side-loader requiredAbility to work in both a team environment and as an individual contributorProficiency in basic math skills; including reading a tape measure and using fractions and decimalsWorking for The High Companies:Tuition Assistance with 100 percent reimbursement for approved courses and degree programs which are job related and approved in advance by your supervisor.Employee Assistance Program provides professional, confidential assistance for any type of personal issue you or your eligible dependents are experiencing.High Family Foundation Scholarship is awarded annually to the children of High co-workers working at least 1,000 hours per year and employed for at least two years.
