Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Fairfax, Virginia, 22033! Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care
Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 12
hours (7 PM - 7 AM) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in PCU and
telemetry License: Valid nursing license Certifications: BLS (AHA),
ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: EPIC experience required. Flexible hours and
willingness to accommodate schedule preferences. Description: This
position requires experience with a variety of patient conditions.
Common patient types include CHF, stroke, sepsis, cardiac
dysrhythmias, pneumonia, rule out cardiac, stroke, pain management,
and observation status. Must be willing to float to medical,
surgical, and observation units if the census drops. The unit
operates with a 36-bed telemetry capacity. Staffing ratios are 1:4
on days and 1:4 on nights, with the support of 5 technicians, a
resource RN, and a charge RN. Floor orientation lasts for 3 days.
Scrubs should consist of navy blue pants and either solid navy blue
or solid white tops. Mixing and matching of scrubs is allowed, and
long sleeve shirts worn under scrubs must be either navy or white.
Weekend requirements include every other weekend. Floating
expectations include being the first to float when necessary.
On-call requirements are not applicable. Holiday expectations
include 1 major and 1 minor holiday. Epic access is needed for this
